How To Pick A Fishing Charter Using SuggestLocal

Posted on January 22, 2007

Lets say your friends and you decide you want to go deep sea fishing.  Now the hard part… what charter company to go with.  Using this cool tool called SuggestLocal will help with that process and perhaps add some fun to it.  SuggestLocal is a tool for helping people make group decisions as Greg Sterling points out in his blog posting SuggestLocal Offers Collaboration Tools For Local Search. So lets take a brief look at how to get started with SuggestLocal.

Your friends have all decided to go Charter fishing and you suggest using SuggestLocal.  So you pull up SuggestLocal and get started.  Using SuggestLocal you’ll type in a what and and where.  In the what box we’ll type in Charter Fishing.   Then in the where box I’ll type in Pensacola Beach, Florida (considering I live in Pensacola).  Next I’ll click the Search button and I’m returned a list of fishing charters located in the Pensacola Beach area.  The next step would be to select the companies I’m interested and move it to my suggestions box.  At that point I have to option to add notes and then email those suggestions to my friends.  Once my friends receive my email they can see my suggestions, discuss them, read reviews from TripAdvisor, and then arrive at a group decision.

So don’t just read about it.  Visit SuggestLocal to start planning your outings.

I have had several bad fishing trips in the past from getting false promises. This is a great suggestion.
