Now that Christmas is right around the corner if you’re like me the camera is warming up for some holiday fun. Those family memories are the best and unlike times past you can have those pictures up on the web for all your friends and family to share. Sharing them online comes in many flavors but today lets take a look at Picasa Web Albums.
Picasa Web Albums is an easy way for you to post your photos online and share them with our friends. This service comes with 250MB of free storage or you can upgrade to 6GB of space for a very low price. Picasa Web Albums will let you create albums and add captions to all your photos. You can even leave comments on your friend’s pictures. To upload your photos you can used Picasa a free download or use your web browser to create new Picasa Web Albums.
Today as I was looking through the Google blog I noticed that some new features have been added to the Picasa Web Albums that may catch your eye. Those new features are:
- If you’ve captured some home video on your digital camera now you can upload it to Picasa Web Albums.
- Tag your photos
- Search your friends public photos
- Order prints online
- Notification by email when someone leaves a comment
So if you have your camera warmed up why not go ahead and setup your Setup a Picasa Web Album if you haven’t done so already.
