Social networking sites are among the top buzz words these days.  Yet with all the buzz, how do you know which networking site to get started with.  Over the past year, I’ve worked with a couple different social networking sites.  Recently I began working with my Facebook account.  Facebook to me has proven to be a great networking site and a great utility.  Facebook is a serious and professional social networking website.  If you are just looking into Facebook or getting ready to begin a Facebook account you may want to know some of the features that Facebook will do for you.

Connect With People
Of course, with Facebook you can connect with people.  Like other social networking sites you can request to be friends with other users.  Facebook has a lot of networking groups you can join.  There are faith-based networks, school networks, company networks, and much more.

Share Photos With Facebook
Did you know Facebook allows it’s users to upload unlimited Photos?  Yes that’s correct.  With Facebook you can create web albums and upload up to 60 photos in each album.  You can tag, comment, and add captions to each photo you upload.

The Wall
The Wall is your own mini forum for you and your friends.  You and your friends can post messages for others to see.  It’s a great place to chat and drop a quick not to your Facebook friends.

Facebook Applications
Facebook has a large collection of applications you can add to your account.  There are photo applications, events, reminders, Zoho Office applications, games, and blogging tools to name only a handful.  Believe me there are many more applications to pick from.  For example, I use a cool Flickr application that pulls in my Flickr photos so my friends can view and click on my photos.

Have fun getting started with Facebook.  I’d like to hear what you happen to like about Facebook.
