Cool Tools For Sharing Digital Photos
Posted on October 13, 2006
Digital photography is one of my favorite hobbies. Taking photos of the kids or an early morning sunrise is a great joy. But taking the shots is just part of the fun. Once they are on the computer I look forward to browsing, editing, and sharing them. So once those digital pictures are loaded on the computer here’s some cool things you can do with them.
Sharing Digital Photos with a Photoblog
This morning I came across an article at Photojojo titled Project 365: How to Take a Photo a Day and See Your Life in a Whole New Way.  The article talks about the benefits and how to of taking a photo a day and where to post it. This posting has a lot of good tips on creating your own Photoblog.Â
In the article the writer points about a couple photo sharing websites available. Those sites are:
- Flickr
- Fotolog
- Photoblog   Â
Online Digital Photo Albums, Photo Sharing, and Digital Printing
There are numerous websites available online to share, print, create calendars, create greeting cards, and much more. Two that I have used are Shutterfly and Snapfish. These sites will allow you to do a great deal with your digital photos. Other photo websites are:
- Snapfish - 20 FREE digital prints from Snapfish by HP
- Shutterfly – Easily create personalized Photo Books, Cards, and Photo Gifts with your digital pictures.
- Snapfish - 20 FREE digital prints from Snapfish by HP
- Walmart.com
- PhotoWorks.com - 25 Free Prints
- SmugMug - Unlimited photo storage and sharing - FREE Trial of SmugMug.
- Kodak EasyShare - Get 15 cent prints everyday at the Kodak Gallery
- MPix
Organize Your Digital Photos
Organizing your digital photos can be done with Google’s Picasa.  Â
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. Â
There, now you have new cool digital photo tools to work with. Have fun!
