Capture YouTube Video with VideoDL

Posted on January 19, 2007

Today I was wanting to download a video from YouTube.  So I started doing some google searches.  I found the article Download YouTube Video With Greasemonkey Script on lifehack.org which provided the answer.  I tried using Greasemonkey but I had dificulty with it so I tried the second option they mentioned.  That option was using a service like VideoDL.  VideoDL proved to be just what I looking for.  VideoDL is a cool web tool that will allow you to download video from YouTube, Google Video, or Break.com.  Using VideoDL is simple.  Just paste the URL into the text box and click the “Get It!” button.  You will need an FLV player to view the video after you download the file.  The player is free.  Enjoy.

I downloaded and use “Zillatube”. It works great. Zillatube helps to grab youtube video fast, plays them, and if you want to edit those movies with windows movie maker, zillatube can also convert them to the right video formats.
