We receive them almost daily. You know, those emails that leave you wondering if it was true or false. Over the years the website TruthorFiction.com has been a great resource to check up on those emails that have been forwarded to me. So next time you receive an email check it out before you forward it on. Here’s what they say about themselves.
TruthOrFiction.com is a web site where Internet users can quickly and easily get information about eRumors, warnings, offers, requests for help, myths, hoaxes, virus warnings, and humorous or inspirational stories that are circulated by email.
TruthOrFiction.com is designed to be of value to the ordinary user of the Internet who wants to make sure that an email story contains information, not misinformation.
Our focus tends to be on stories that are the most widely-circulated on the Internet.
Every story on TruthOrFiction.com has either been personally researched by the TruthOrFiction.com staff or, in some cases, is known to be a classic rumor or urban legend that has stood the test of time. As much as possible, the sources of our information are included in the stories.

Looking for free software to assist in managing your Digital Photos. Check out Google’s Picasa. Here’s what google says about it.
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.
Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures – you can email, print photos home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello™, and even post pictures on your own blog. (http://picasa.google.com/)

I recently purchased some photos using Snapfish. For years I’ve used another online photo developing service. Recently I purchased a new camera where the file sizes are much larger. I was getting frustrated with the time it was taking to upload my photos so I began to look around. The discovery was SnapFish.
Using Snapfish I was given the option to reduce the file size at time of up loading the photos. This made a huge difference uploading the photos. Of course you don‘t have to pick that option if you want to make large prints.
The other really great feature I found was the shipment and pickup option. When given the shipment option you have a choice either to pick them up at Walgreen’s an hour later or have them sent in the mail. Now that’s great! No more waiting for the mailman.
Get your first 20 prints FREE! Plus, get 4×6″ prints as low as 12-cents!
Snapfish is a leading online photo service with more than 24 million members and one billion unique photos stored online. We enable our members to share, print and store their most important photo memories at the lowest prices - online or off. Snapfish offers professionally-developed digital camera prints as low as 10¢, film developing for just $2.99 per roll, free online photo sharing, unlimited online photo storage, free editing tools and software, wireless imaging services, and more than 80 personalized photo products, ranging from calendars, mugs and mousepads, to boxer shorts, dog leashes and teddy bears.

For those of you interested in Desktop Publishing check out Scribus. Scribus is Open Source Desktop Publishing for Linux, Mac OS® X and Windows®. I’ve used it a bit and have been happy with the results (I’ve only used it on my home printer).

Skype (http://www.skype.com/) is a really cool service I recently installed on my computer. With Skype you can call anyone in the world that also has Skype installed on the computer. The sound quality is good - of course you would want a broadband connection to use it.
Skype is a little program for making free calls over the internet to anyone else who also has Skype. It’s free and easy to download and use, and works with most computers.
What if your friend doesn’t have a computer. For a very low rate you can call from your computer to any regular phone number. Skype calls this Skypeout. For a complete list of rates visit http://www.skype.com/products/skypeout/rates/all_rates.html.
